Introduction:
Jamestown Flying Group is known far and wide for its hospitality and friendliness to pilots. All members are keen on aviation even though not all fly. Jamestown Flying Group is situated at the Sir Hubert Wilkins Aerodrome Jamestown. There is a history of Sir Hubert in the clubrooms which were opened by Dick Smith in 1994. The airstrip is 1200 metres and north-south 34/16.

General Description:
JFG has the C172 DOV and it is the pride of the members. Even though a little faded it is known far and wide as the old DOVE or Blackie and is in the local football colours of black and white. There are toilets, tea and coffee facilities and the door is coded for entry. For flying training contact Neil Barker on 08 8633-2123.

Attractions and Accommodation:
The airstrip is 1.2Km NE of the township next to the sheep saleyards. There are numerous pine forests and bushwalking in the Flinders Ranges is a 1 hour flight. The well known Clare Valley is a 1 hour car drive to the south with wineries and other attractions.
